The hostel had a great atmosphere and the communal areas were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped and there was even a free shelf with tea and coffee available. The location was convenient, close to the town center. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us to local cafes when we couldn't book breakfast after the cut-off time. The hostel was also very clean, including the self-catering kitchen.
One specific situation that happened to me was the noise from other guests. Although some guests were inconsiderate and noisy, especially during the night, I found solace in the lobby and was able to get some rest.

Good facilities
Terrible mattress, think every spring had popped. No sleep night before the Loch Ness Marathon...not good prep :-(

The Youth Hostel in Inverness had a well-equipped communal kitchen that made self-catering a breeze. The lobby area was also a nice space to relax in. The friendly staff went out of their way to assist me, and the free parking was a bonus. I also appreciated that it was within walking distance of the city center.
Although there were some minor drawbacks, such as minimal sound insulation between rooms and an uncomfortable shower with a strange water outlet, these were outweighed by the overall positive experience. The comfortable bed and the reasonably clean and well-maintained facilities made up for these small inconveniences.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a residential area of a quaint Scottish town. The location, on a tiny hill, was perfect for some peaceful sightseeing while still being within a 15-minute walk of the city center. The staff were attentive and the basic amenities provided were top-notch. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the room with a nice view of the city horizon, which added to the overall ambiance of my stay. Additionally, the breakfast served was delicious and provided a great start to the day.
All was well during my stay, no improvements needed.
